Appreciating What You Have In Your Life

Sometimes it’s difficult to appreciate what you have in your life because you might be looking at and longing for what you don’t have.
When you can be grateful for the love and abundance in your life right now, you are less likely to be stressed or anxious about what you feel is missing or lacking.
This isn’t always easy since the grass can look pretty lush and green on the other side of the fence, so to speak.
When you are concentrating on what’s not happening in your life, or what you don’t have, or are trying to blame or justify why things are as they are, then you miss all the greatness that is already surrounding you and blessing your life.

Just the thought of the holiday season can create a sense of panic and stress for many people.
The added financial expenses, the loss of a loved one or a job, being alone, or not well, can leave one feeling depressed and or stressed.
Then there can be luncheons, dinner engagements, parties, gift purchasing, wrapping, decorating, baking, dinners to prepare and/or attend, etc., and can be extremely overwhelming and exhausting.

Starting Over Doesn’t Have to be Stressful

I certainly have had my fair share of starting over, from jobs, to relationships, to finances, to moving, to working on a project, and even to the newsletters I write.
I used to become really stressed when things changed, especially over the ones that would impact my life. I would get myself so worked up thinking the worst was about to happen, as my experiences were leading me to believe it was always going to be that way, and out of my control to change.
Over time I began to explore my thoughts and started to look at things differently. I realized change is good and starting over can be even better!
